Located on the magnificent Spencer Gulf on the south coast of South Australia, Cape Hardy Beach camping ground is located around a five-minute drive from the small town of Port Neill. Cape Hardy Beach offers all the benefits of a camping ground on the coast, including swimming, fishing and boating.
The Cape Hardy Beach camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located 6km off the Lincoln Highway, with the turnoff approximately 11km from Port Neill. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two-wheel drive and caravan.
The camping ground offers around fifty individual campsites. The best spot to camp is along the fence line.
Given the location of the Cape Hardy Beach campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing, swimming, surfing and boating in the Gulf. The campground offers beach access for boats and 4WDs, therefore the ability to launch small watercraft.
Best Time To Go
Given that the campground is located on the Spencer Gulf, it is recommended to visit the campground during the warmer months. It is however a nice place to visit all year round.
