Located in the Mount Remarkable National Park, north of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, Hancock’s Lookout is located around a ten-minute drive from the small town of Wilmington. Hancock’s Lookout has been marked down by us somewhat, however, this campground offers a remarkable opportunity to sit back and relax whilst watching the sunset over the Yorke Peninsula. The views from this camping ground are incredible.
Access
The Hancock’s Lookout camping ground is reasonably easy to access. The camping ground is located 13km west of Wilmington, with approximately 9km of bumpy gravel roads from the end of the bitumen. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two-wheel drive and caravan.
Best Spot
The camping ground offers over forty individual campsites. The best spot is along the fence line, to ensure uninterrupted views.
Activities
Activities are the one thing that Hancock’s Lookout does not have. In saying this the views are enough to ensure that you enjoy your experience here.
