Located in the Lyrup Forest Reserve on the Murray River in South Australia, Martins Bend is located around a three-minute drive from the well-known town of Berri. Martins Bend offers all the benefits of a camping ground on a river, including swimming, fishing, and boating. Martins Bend is our only camping ground that has attracted a Vibe of 10. The campground is unique as it is managed by a friendly caretaker who cleans the toilets, distributes firewood and ensures the smooth running of the area. Make sure you check in with him as you enter the campground. The maximum stay per visit is 30 days.
The Martins Bend camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located 3km off the Sturt Highway, with the turnoff approximately 3km from Berri. The road into the camping ground is sealed, with plenty of access for larger caravans.
The camping ground offers around fifty individual campsites. Even though all the campsites are very similar, anywhere along the river is the best spot.
Given the location of the Martins campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing, swimming and boating in the river. The nearby boat ramp, playground and water ski club are very popular. Free gas BBQs are also supplied at the campground.
