Located on the Spencer Gulf on the south coast of South Australia, Wauraltee Beach is located around a three-minute drive from the small town of Wauraltee. Wauraltee Beach offers all the benefits of a camping ground on the coast, including swimming, fishing, boating and (limited) surfing. This camping ground is very popular for 4WDs and motorbikes, given the access available to the beach.
The Wauraltee Beach camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located 4km off the Minlaton-Maitland Road, with the turnoff in the town centre. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two-wheel drive and caravan.
The camping ground offers around thirty individual campsites. This consists of multiple camping locations within the dunes or overlooking the beach. All the spots provide a memorable camping experience.
Given the location of the Wauraltee Beach campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing, swimming and boating in the gulf. Beach access for vehicles and boats ensures that this campground remains extremely popular in the warmer months. Motorbike riding is also very popular in this area.
