Located near the old mining town of Queenstown, 86km west of Derwent Bridge, Lake Burbury camping ground is located on the mighty King River. For a modest nightly fee, Lake Burbury provides a lot of options when it comes to activities. The bins and picnic shelter also add to the quality of this site.
The Lake Burbury camping area is reasonably easy to access. Turn north 22km east of Queenstown for 900m. The road in is a good gravel road that can easily be accessed by a two-wheel drive and caravan.
The camping ground offers over fifty individual campsites. Grab a spot next to the lake and you’ll have a great time.
The boat ramp and river make this campsite a great spot to camp out for the night. Swimming, fishing and the ability to use watercraft, provide an ample array of activities at this location.
Best Time To Go
As with most of the campsites located in Tasmania, we recommend you visit this one in the warmer months.
