Located on the mighty Lake King William 2km west of Derwent Bridge, Lake King William offers all the benefits of a camping ground on a lake, including limited swimming and fishing.
The Lake King William camping ground is extremely easy to access. Located just 100m from the Lyell Highway 2km west of Derwent Bridge, follow the “Boat Ramp” signs. Take a left at the fork and set up next to the lake.
The camping ground offers around fifteen individual campsites. The area is pretty exposed and there isn’t much shade, so grab the best spot available.
Whilst the campsite is located right next to the lake, there are limited fishing and swimming opportunities here.
Best Time To Go
The proximity of the campground to the lake makes it more appropriate to visit this campsite in the warmer months.
