Located lakeside, the Lake Leake campsite is a popular spot for trout fishing. The inclusion of showers and the ability to purchase firewood is a bonus. The serenity is pretty average though, with not many trees about.
Access
Located halfway between Swansea and Campbell Town, take Lake Leake Road north off B34. The 4km road into the campsite is a gravel road that can easily be accessed by a two-wheel drive and caravan.
Best Spot
The camping ground offers around five to ten individual campsites. There is really no preferred spot at this campground.
Activities
As detailed above, trout fishing is the primary activity at this campsite. The boat ramp allows ease of launching watercraft such as kayaks and canoes.
Best Time To Go
As with most of the campsites located in Tasmania, we recommend you visit this one in the warmer months.
